Mr Charles Imber performed my hemi-hepatectomy at the Cliveland Clinic London. I first met Mr Imber briefly a few years ago when he referred me to his colleague for a specialised ERCP. Four and half years later, following a liver infection, my husband and I met Mr Imber who explained to us that the best solution to preventing any recurrent liver infections would be a liver resection. He also highlighted the risks associated with the surgical procedure. After the operation thanks to Mr Imber’s excellent skills as a surgeon I had non of the potential problems that could have arisen during or after the surgery. Mr Imber operates in conjunction with a highly skilled team and his anaesthetist Mr Jeremy Prout was particularly good at explaining to me, in some detail, his plan for the surgery which I greatly appreciate. The recovery from surgery is rather long and 3 months after the operation I am well but still experience pain in my shoulders, back and around the surgical wound but I hope this will pass with time. I found Mr Imber to be professional and at the same time to be a gentleman who is well spoken, courteous, calm, kind, considerate and humble. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a liver surgeon. I thank Mr Imber and his team and wish them all the very best. I pray that all his surgeries are a great success so that his patients can make a full recovery and remain healthy for many years to come. Thank you God bless Aisha B Hamid.May 2024
